Background Problem

Persuasion is used to change the behavior of an individual. However, persuading people to change their behavior is a challenging task. The opposite effect could appear when people are given inappropriate persuasion, for instance, unpleasantness or anger, which is known as psychological reactance (Brehm, 1966; Miron & Brehm, 2006).
